This is a loose powder that I use to bake underneath my eyes and I use to set my whole face. This is a very thin powder so I like it all over my face no matter the time of year. It is a very expensive powder costing $33.00, but it comes with a lot of powder and if you have dry skin and need a powder that won’t make you look dry than this is the perfect powder for you.

3. Coty Airspun Loose Powder

This powder is a great powder for underneath the eyes to set your makeup. It sets your under eyes perfectly and does not leave any flash back. It also costs $5.99 and you can find it at any Walmart or some Target’s and it comes with a lot of product so it will last you a very long time. I usually bake with this powder underneath my eyes, and it works perfectly, the only downside is the smell of the powder. If you are sensitive to smells in makeup products this is not the powder for you because it has a very strong smell to it. If you are okay with strong smells, then this is a great cheap powder for you.

2. Maybelline Fit me Loose Finishing Powder

This powder is another good powder but it can be used underneath your eyes or all over your face. I like this powder all over my face when it is hot (usually in the summer time) because it helps keep your foundation in place all day. This powder works with every foundation I have tried it with and it only costs $7.99 so it wont break the bank. This powder also does not have a scent to it so it works perfectly whether you have sensitive skin or not. If you are looking for a new loose powder I would highly recommend this powder for you.

1.Maybelline Fit me Set + Smooth Pressed Powder

This powder is a good dupe for the It Cosmetics powder if you are not looking for a powder with SPF in it. It is great for all over your face and it gives you a little extra coverage for $7.99. This powder won’t make your dry skin look dry, it will just help your makeup look flawless and it won’t cling to your dry spots. I use this powder almost everyday that I wear makeup so if you have dry skin I highly recommend this powder for you.

Since I have very sensitive skin, primers are something I have to be careful of because if I am not I will break out so easily. These are my top 7 favorite primers (also the only ones I find that work for my sensitive skin).

7. Becca Backlight Priming Filter

This primer I only use on the outside perimeter of my face to make my skin look radiant and glowy. It costs $39.00, but if you wait for the right time to buy it you can get this primer on sale during Ulta’s 21 days of beauty (this is the only time I will buy this primer). It is beautiful for underneath your foundation and if you like a radiant look to your face I would highly recommend this primer for you.

6. Becca First Light Priming Filter

This primer I use on the outside perimeter of my face as well, but I use it when my face is more red and it helps hide the redness a bit and it brings a radiant look to underneath your foundation. If you have a lot of redness to your face a green primer would work much better, but if you only have a bit of redness and you want the radiant look this is the primer for you. It also costs $39.00, but just like the other primer you can buy it on sale during Ulta’s 21 days of beauty.

5.Benefit Porefessional Primer

This primer I use in my T-zone to fill in my pores. I have very big pores in my T-zone so I make sure to use a pore filling primer to make sure the foundation is not going into my pores and making the makeup look bad. There are many dupes for this product because it does cost $32.00 but if you have the money to spend on it or if you find it on sale, this is one of the best primers for pore filling.

4.Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer

This primer I also use in my T-zone and this is one of the dupes for the Benefit primer. This costs $18.00 and it fills in your pores almost as good as the Benefit primer and if you have a little more money for this primer instead of drugstore ones, I would highly recommend this primer.

3.Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer

This primer I can use all over my face before I use my pore filling primers because it’s a very hydrating primer and it works great with my dry skin. I use this primer when I am very dry (usually in the winter) and I use it after I use my moisturizer, but sometimes in the summer I will use this primer as my moisturizer. If you have very dry skin, I would highly recommend this product for you because it works like magic.

2. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer

This is one of my favorite dupes to the Benefit and Touch in Sol primers and it only costs $6.99. It does the job of filling in your pores but I can only use this primer when my pores are not that big (usually after I do a face mask) or if this is the last primer I have. This is a great primer for how cheap it is or if you are new to makeup and want to try a pore filling primer.

1.Elf Poreless Putty Primer

This is the most recent primer that I have found that works on my skin and it is slowly becoming one of my favorites. I use this all over my face and it fills in my pores and helps moisturize my skin at the same time. This primer costs $8.00 and I love it especially for the price. I have heard that this is a dupe for the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer and although I have never had that primer, if you have been wanting that but can’t afford it I highly recommend this primer.

When choosing a college a little over two years ago, I only applied to four colleges, three of which were six or more hours from home. Ever since my sister left home I had always wanted to go to a college close to her because we were really close, so I made sure to apply to not only two colleges close to her and also the same college she attended. Unfortunately since I only applied to four colleges I only got into two, one of which was close to home, the other that was six hours away. Before I moved into my dorm room I was very excited to be away from home in an area that was new to me. I was also very excited to be close to my older sister since we’ve been close since we were little. I was so excited to move to college that I didn’t even consider what it would be like to be six hours away from my best friend and my parents.

Although, moving away from home for college has been one of the best decisions I could make, I never truly understood how much I would miss my family and best friend. I am currently in my second year of school and between work and school I am rarely able to go home. I go home around maybe three times a year and that is not a lot at all. With not being able to go home often I do get very homesick sometimes and it sucks because I can call my family and talk to them, but there is no way to be there with them physically. Sometimes I really wish I stayed at home with my family for college, but I have met so many great people that I makes me not regret moving down here at the same time.

One of the hardest things about going to college away from home besides not being with my family is how much I have to work in order to afford living in Southern California. Trying to focus on school is difficult when you have to work almost thirty hours a week to afford rent and food and anything else I need. Having a family that is able to help me out a bit every once in a while is nice, but having to work so much takes away a lot of time I could be spending on studying or focusing on homework.

If you get the chance to go to college away from home I do highly recommend it because it is a great learning experience and you grow a lot, but don’t think you won’t get homesick. College is a time or learning and growing and moving out of your house helps you do both of those.

This is a beautiful peachy colored blush set. You get three different blushes in this palette for $30.00. There are two blushes that have a slight shimmer in them and one that is matte. If you blend all the colors together you get a beautiful peachy glow on your cheeks. You can buy this product at Sephora, Ulta, Anastasias website and you can even find them sometimes at T.J Maxx at a discount price.

9. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

This blush is a beautiful matte peach blush. It costs $7.99 and you can find it at most drugstores. This is a cult favorite among many youtubers and makeup artists. This is beautiful color for every skin tone and works great with many makeup looks. You can buy this at Ulta, Milani’s website, or like I previously said any drugstore that sells Milani products.

8. Burt’s Bees Blush in Toasted Cinnamon

This is a beautiful bronzy blush that costs $9.99. If you don’t like peach or pink blushes and have been looking for a neutral brown blush that doesn’t look like you used bronzer, this is the blush for you. This is the perfect blush if you did a dramatic eye look and want a subtle blush or if you just like subtle blushes in general. You can get this blush at any drugstore or at Ulta.

7. Milani Rose Powder Blush Romantic Rose

This is a beautiful mauve/pink blush that costs $8.99. You get a lot of product in this blush because it is shaped like a rose and it is in a very big pan. If you like mauve/pink blushes this is the one for you. It has its beautiful rose, but it is also a beautiful subtle matte blush that everyone needs in their collection. It goes with any look and you can find it at any drugstore, Ulta and Milani’s website.

6. Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow & Blush Palette

The Tarte Pro Glow Palette is a mix of 4 blushes and 2 highlights and it retails for $45.00. There are a variety of colors in this palette and it is a great palette if you like shimmery blushes. All 4 blushes have shimmer in them and they create a beautiful radiant look. You can wear this with or without blush and still look like you are glowing to the gods. You can find this blush palette at Sephora, Ulta or on Tartes website.

5. Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Blush Palette

This palette costs $10.00 and has 8 different colored blushes inside. They are more rose gold colors and are deeper colors so it works for a range of skin tones. There are 6 blushes and 2 highlights and they are beautiful mattes. You can get this palette at Ulta and on Makeup Revolutions website.

4. Flower Beauty Flower Pot in Warm Hibiscus

This blush costs $9.99 and is a beautiful peachy color that is a very pigmented blush. I love this blush for the summer. Its matte but it makes you look flushed and beautiful. You can buy this at any drugstore, Utla or on Flower Beauties website.

3. Wet n Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush in Peach Bums

This is a cream blush that costs $4.29. It is a beautiful peach color blush and it goes from a cream to almost powder like. I would suggest putting a bit of blush over-top of the cream just to make sure that it will stay on your cheeks all day, but even if you forget or don’t want to set it with another blush, it will fade over a long period of time and it fades nicely. It doesn’t go on or fade patchy it is just leaves a beautiful peachy glow on your cheeks. You can find this at most drugstores, Ulta and on Wet n Wilds website.

2. Too Faced Fruit Cocktail Blush in Strobeberry

This Too Faced blush is half matte and half shimmer blush and you can use both of them separately, but if you use them together they create a beautiful pinky glow to your cheeks. If you are not into shimmer blushes, I would not recommend this blush because it is a very shimmery blush, but if you like shimmer this is a great blush for you. It costs $30.00 and you can find it at Ulta, Sephora and on the Too Faced website.

1. BH Cosmetics 10 color Blush Palette in Nude Blush

The BH Cosmetics 10 color Blush Palette has my favorite blushes inside not only because there are so many options, but also because the colors inside are very neutral. I use this palette most days I do my makeup and it only costs $12.00 (and you can always find this palette on sale on the BH website). It is a great palette for everyone. You can find this palette on the BH website and it is worth the money to buy it.

I am in no way an expert at what “Sorority life” is all about, but I want to share my experiences from being in a sorority. I’m not going to say my sorority name because it really doesn’t matter what chapter I am in because they’re all relatively the same. To start off with, we aren’t ALL about partying. Yes, it’s fun to go out every once in a while but you don’t join a sorority to party (at least you shouldn’t).

First, lets talk about recruitment. I went through recruitment in Fall of 2017 and if you think it’s going to be an easy weekend for you, you’re wrong. There are six sororities at my school and on the first day you spend 30 minutes with each chapter talking about yourself and why you want to join a sorority. The second day you can see up to four of the sorority houses and get to know more about their chapter and their philanthropy and why they do what they do. The third day is preference night and that is the night you get to really see the chapter and it is an emotional night not only for the girls in the sororities, but all for the potential new members (PNM’s). Bid day is the fourth and final day of recruitment and it is also the most exciting for everyone. Bid day you find out what chapter you got into and you get to “run home.”

One thing that people don’t like to talk about is the fact that not everyone gets a bid. Some people don’t even make it past the first day of recruitment. It sucks, but there is not always a good fit for girls in the chapters that are offered at the school they go to. With only having 6 chapters on our campus it gives girls less of a chance to find their home.

Once you find your chapter and get initiated into the chapter there are so many great opportunities for you. You can get experience being involved in the Executive Council (or Programming Council for some chapters) and that looks really good on resumes. Not only can being a part of a sorority look good on your resume but you also raise money for your philanthropy (mine is breast cancer awareness and education) and you get to see how much money your chapter raised and you just know how much that is going to help the people you are raising the money for.

Although there are great parts to being part of a sorority there are also some bad parts. I’ve only come across two bad parts about sorority. The first is having to pay “dues.” Yes, the money you pay goes towards the things you do and places you go, but I do not believe that is all true for the chapter I am in because we pay so much and I have started to notice that we don’t really do that much. The second thing that I see as bad is the fact that there are so many girls in a chapter (mine currently has 154.) Having that many girls in one group is just drama waiting to happen. Many girls don’t like talking about the drama that goes on in their chapter, but trust me its there. (Also, not every girl knows or likes all of their sisters.)

Joining a sorority is the best thing I have done throughout my college career so far, but there are good and bad things that come with it just like anything you do. Being in a sorority is not for everyone, but I highly encourage everyone to go out to their schools next recruitment and see how you like it!

Dose of Colors Desi x Katy Palette

The Desi x Katy eyeshadow palette is a collaboration Desi and Katy (who are youtubers) did with Dos of Colors. This palette costs $55.00 and comes with 10 eyeshadows. There are 5 mattes and 5 shimmer shades. The mattes are neutrals but the shimmers are 5 different and uniquely beautiful shades. The shimmers in this palette are best applied with your finger to make them shine as bright as they can. You can find this palette at Ulta or the Dos of Colors website.

Tarte Tartelette Toasted Palette

The Tartelette Toasted palette is a warm toned neutral palette. This palette retails for $39.00 and comes with 12 shades. There are 7 mattes and 5 shimmers. Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette

The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette costs $38.00 and has 35 shadows inside. Jaclyn Hill (a famous youtuber) collaborated with Morphe to make her dream palette. There are a variety of different colors ranging from neutral browns to blues and greens and purples. You can buy this palette at Ulta or a Morphe store. Colorpop Yes Please Palette

The Colourpop Yes Please palette is a warm tone palette that costs $16.00. If you are into warm tones and you like reds, oranges and yellows this is the palette for you. This is Colourpops first palette and it is a great one to purchase. You get 12 shades in this palette and you can create so many amazing looks with just this one palette. You can purchase this palette on the Colourpop website or at Ulta.

Milani Soft and Sultry Palette

Milani’s Soft and Sultry palette is a cool toned palette you can purchase for $19.99. If you prefer cool tones over warm tones this is the perfect neutral cool tone palette for you. You get 12 shades in this palette that you can create beautiful neutral looks with without having to reach into another palette. You can find this palette at any drugstore that sells Milani products (Walmart, Target, etc.), Ulta and Milani’s website.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Palette

The Riviera palette by Anastasia is a very colorful and fun palette. It costs $45.00 and comes with 14 colorful shades. There are 7 mattes and 7 shimmers. This is a very unique palette because there are a few pressed pigments in the palette that makes the shades stand out more on the eye. There are beautiful pinks, purples and blues inside that just scream summer when you look at the palette. You can buy this palette at Sephora, Ulta and on Anastasia’s website.

Life’s A Drag Palette Manny MUA

The Life’s A Drag Palette created by the famous youtuber Manny MUA with his new makeup company Lunar Beauty retails for $45.00. There are 14 shades inside the palette, 12 matte and 2 shimmers. Half of the palette is neutral shades and the other half is colorful shades. You can buy this palette at a Morphe store or on the website or on the Lunar Beauty website.

10. ColourPop Super Shock in Lunch Money

This is a $8.00 highlight and is a great for subtle looks. It is not an out there, blinding highlight, but if you like a less noticeable highlight this is the perfect highlight for you. You can find this highlight at Ulta or on the ColourPop website.

9. Nyx Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam

This is a $7.50 liquid highlighter. I am not a fan of this on top of my foundation because I like to powder my face, but underneath foundation it gives you a radiant look. You can find this at the drugstore for a very cheap price (especially if you use coupons) and it is a great highlight if you like liquid highlights or to make your skin look radiant underneath your foundation.

8. Elf Baked Highlight in Moonlight Pearls

This is a $4.00 baked highlight that you can find at any drugstore or on the elf website. This is a great cheap highlight for people with fair skin tones. This highlight is not the most blinding highlight out there, but it is also not subtle. If you want a little pop of highlight on the high points of your face and not a blinding highlight this is the perfect highlighter for you.

7. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop

This is a $38.00 highlighter that is a collaboration with Jaclyn Hill who is a famous youtuber. This is the perfect highlighter for all skin types. If you are fair you do have to use a light hand with this product, but it is a beautiful blinding champagne colored highlight.

6. Colourpop Super Shock in Flexitarian

This is another $8.00 highlight from Colourpop but this is a very blinding highlight. If you love blinding, cheap highlights this highlighter is for you. You can find this highlight at Ulta or on colourpop.com and if you haven’t tried the super shock formula yet, this is a great highlighter that will make you fall in love with the unique formula.

5. Anastasia Amrezy Highlight

This is a $29.00 highlight that Amrezy collaborated with Anastasia Beverly Hills on and it is a great highlight for people with light to medium skin tones. This is not a blinding highlight but it also isn’t subtle. It is a highlight that is right in the middle and is perfect for everyday wear.

4. Anastasia Sugar Glow Kit

This is a $40.00 glow kit from Anastasia. You might be thinking this is a lot of money for highlighters, but there are four highlights in this kit and they are all different colors and shades. This is my favorite glow kit because it works best on my fair skin, but all of the Anastasia glow kits are beautiful and blinding.

3. Makeup Revolution Soph x Revolution

This is a $12.00 highlight kit that a youtuber Sophie collaborated with Makeup Revolution on. There are twelve highlights in this kit that range from pinks and purples to white and champagne colors. This is a great highlight kit for all skin tones and is a great value for how much product you get.

2. Wet n Wild MegaGlow in Precious Petals

This is a $4.99 highlight that you find at the drugstore. This is a shade you can use on all skin tones, but if you are lighter you have to use a light hand to make sure you don’t leave a dark line, but it is a beautiful blinding highlight.

1. Wet n Wild MegaGlow in Blossom Glow

This is a $4.99 highlight that you find at the drugstore. This is my favorite highlight ever and it is a pink/white shade that complements fair skin very well. If you have fair skin this is going to be a great highlight for you. All Wet N Wild highlights are beautiful but this is my favorite for my skin tone.

I am a HUGE makeup lover but finding foundation that works with my very dry skin has always been a pain. If you are a dry skin girl or guy like me, I hope this helps you find a foundation that is right for you!

10. It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact Foundation

This foundation cost $38.00 and is a medium coverage foundation. Although the shade range is crap, the product is great for those with dry skin. The first layer is medium coverage, but it is buildable without making it look cakey. It is a foundation that needs to be set with a powder on top so it won’t transfer. I would not recommend this foundation if you have oily skin because it becomes a bit oily on my skin if not set with a powder, but as long as you set it, the foundation is great.

9. Wet N Wild Photo Focus Liquid Foundation

This foundation costs $5.99 and is more of a matte foundation. This is a foundation that you need to make sure you use a good moisturizer and primer before using, but as long as you do that the foundation is great. I use this foundation usually when I wear makeup to work and I work in a food place where it is hot throughout the whole day. I highly recommend this foundation for anyone whether you have oily, dry or combo skin.  

8.Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

This foundation costs $39.00 and this is a full coverage foundation. I love this foundation if I am going out and I want my makeup to last all night. I sometimes need to set this powder, but for the most part you can do without having to set this foundation. I would recommend this foundation for all skin types.

7.. L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation

This foundation costs $8.99 and is a light to medium coverage foundation. This foundation is buildable and does not get cakey if you decide to build it up. I love this foundation when I am going for a light coverage foundation kind of day where I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup, but I do still want to wear makeup. I do always powder this foundation just to make sure it doesn’t transfer. I would recommend this foundation for those with dry skin.

6. Flower Beauty Light Illusion Liquid Foundation

This foundation costs $13.99 and is a medium coverage foundation. This foundation makes your skin look so luminous and like you are glowing from within. I feel that this can look cakey on my face if I put too much on, but if you don’t try to build it up it makes your skin look beautiful. I would suggest only using this foundation if you have dry skin because it does get oily, but with a bit of powder it is a great foundation.

5. Maybelline Fit me Dewy + Smooth Foundation

This foundation costs $7.99 and is a medium coverage foundation. This foundation is buildable and looks beautiful on the skin. Maybelline also has a matte version of this foundation but with having dry skin the dewy version works much better for me. This was my favorite foundation for years until I found my current favorite which I will talk about in a moment.

4. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H Longwear Foundation

This foundation costs $47.00 and is a full coverage foundation. This is a foundation that I also like to wear if I am going out. I do not purchase this foundation often because it is very expensive but I if it is ever on sale I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

3. Wet N Wild MegaCushion Foundation

This foundation costs $8.99 and is a light coverage foundation. I love this foundation when I don’t want to wear a heavy foundation and although it is light coverage it gives your skin a beautiful glow. The shade range is not the best, but if you can find your shade and you like a light weight foundation this can work for you no matter what your skin type is.

2. Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

This foundation costs $9.00 and is a light to medium coverage foundation. This foundation is a new find for me, but in the little time that I have had this foundation I have fallen in love with the foundation. It is a stick foundation that you swipe on your face and it is really good and less messy than a liquid foundation. I would only recommend this foundation if you have dry skin because it does get a bit oily on me throughout the day, but for you dry skinned sisters this does wonders if you just use a bit of powder on top.

1.Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation

This foundation costs $12.99 and is a medium coverage foundation. This is my favorite foundation for the past year. This is my go to foundation for every day, special events like formals and I even wear it to work sometimes and it doesn’t move throughout the day. This does have a horrible shade range as well, but if you can find a shade that would match you I would encourage everyone to pick up this foundation because it just makes your skin look flawless. This is the only foundation I have been able to find that matches me perfectly and I believe this will work for every skin type.

There are a variety of different shows on Hulu. Hulu has some shows that are newly aired and they also have shows that have all of the seasons to binge watch. Depending on what you pay for there are some ads, but if you are a student and use the student discount and you can get Spotify and ShowTime all for $4.99. These are my top ten shows from Hulu starting at number ten.

10. The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer is a show about famous people who are put in full masks that sing to try and win the Masked Singer trophy. There is currently only one season on Hulu because it is a new show, but it is a great show if you like competition shows. The people are not necessarily famous singers, they just have to be famous and they are able to be a part of the show.

9. The Cleveland Show

The Cleveland Show is similar to Family Guy. It is an animated comedy that gives Cleveland Brown his own show after being on Family Guy for years on end. If you like Family Guy I highly suggest watching The Cleveland Show as well.

8. The Voice

The Voice is another singing show that is like American Idol except the judges only judge the singers based off their voices and not their appearance. They are currently on Season 16 and their judges are Adam Levine, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. The show is updated each week, but they also have the previous seasons as well if you would like to watch those.

7. Greys Anatomy

Greys Anatomy is a medical show that is currently on season 15 and all seasons are on Hulu, but when there are new episodes aired they put them on Hulu a couple days after it is on air. Greys is a cult favorite for many people and if you haven’t started watching it yet, it is a must watch. The show will take you on an emotional rollercoaster that will make you fall in love with the characters.

6. World of Dance

World of Dance is one of the top dance competitions. People travel all over the world to try out for the show and it brings the greatest dancers. They rank the dancers on four different categories and they have to get an 85 out of 100 in order to continue onto the show. There are four different groups separating the dancers, but in the end they all come together to try and win the final prize.

5. 9-1-1

9-1-1 is a newer show that only has two seasons so far, but it revolves around the life of firefighters, cops, and the 9-1-1 operator. This show not only gives you a great representation of what these people do for us, but it also shows us how the job can influence and affect their personal life.

4. New Amsterdam

New Amsterdam is a new show on Hulu that only has one season so far. The show follows the life of a guy who is running a hospital that needs to make a lot of changes before the hospital can no longer be. As the new head of the hospital he has to deal with the issues of the hospital, but he is also sick and he has to figure out how to balance taking care of himself and the hospital.

3. Blindspot

Blindspot is about a girl who wakes up in a bag in the middle of New York without any recollection of who she is and why she has these tattoos all over her body that links to crimes that haven’t yet happened. Jane Doe starts randomly remembering things before her memory was erased. If you like crime shows, but you are bored of how they are all structured the same, Blindspot is the show for you.

2. Bob’s Burgers

Bob’s Burgers is an animated comedy that shows you the life of Bob, his wife and three kids and how it is to own a burger shop. It is a family owned shop that has the restaurant at the bottom and their home above the restaurant. They talk about how hard it is to own a restaurant that is slow and it shows their adventures along the way. If you like shows such as Family Guy and The Cleveland Show, you will like this show as well.

1. Station 19

Station 19 is currently my favorite show on Hulu. It takes you through the lives of the firefighters at Station 19 in Seattle, Washington. The show is a run off of Grey’s Anatomy and you will see some characters in both shows, but Station 19 gives you new relationships to attach yourself to and fall in love with. If you are a current watcher of Grey’s Anatomy or even if you are not, you are bound to fall in love with this amazing show.
